Types of Fishing I Offer
Flats and Sightfishing: The ultimate angling challenge involves stalking a fish or school of fish then presenting your bait, fly or lure as subtle as possible, so as not to spook the fish. Species generally targeted on the flats are: bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook and redfish.
Backcountry Fishing: Possibly never seeing another boat all day. This can be one of the most relaxing types of fishing. Accomplished by live baiting shorelines, rivers, creeks, creek mouths and backwater bays, or, plug casting shorelines and shallow bays for snook, redfish and tarpon. Species generally targeted are: snook, redfish, tarpon, trout, snapper, grouper, goliath grouper. This style of fishing is best in the backwaters of Everglades National Park.
Gulf Wreck Fishing: Some call this deep water sightfishing because in some cases you can actually see the pelagics feeding in deeper water. Travel into the Gulf of Mexico heading west to some of the offshore wrecks where you can expect to have your tackle tested to the limit with schools of hundreds of permit, pods of cobia, gag grouper, big mangrove snapper, goliath grouper to 600 lbs. and other seasonal fish such as snook, blackdrum, sheepshead and mackeral.
Reef Fishing: This is as close to non-stop action as you can get. Great for kids providing good weather due to the number of species encountered. It is not at all uncommon to tie into Black, gag, and red grouper, mutton, mangrove and yellowtail snapper. Hogfish, kingfish, mackeral just to name a few.
Night Fishing: Primarily for tarpon and snook around bridges and in creeks in Biscayne bay, a good way to avoid a sunburn and enjoy some great action.
